KARACHI: Mufti Naeem, a prominent religious scholar of Banuria University Karachi, has passed away.
According to reports, Mufti Naeem of Binoria University Karachi passed away in Karachi. Mufti Naeem was suffering from a heart ailment.
Mufti Noman confirmed the death and said that he was being taken to the hospital due to ill health. His father died on the way and he was suffering from a heart ailment.
According to ARY News correspondent, his family members said that the funeral prayers of Mufti Naeem would be announced later.
It should be noted that in view of Corona, Mufti Naeem had also made a statement and directed the people to implement SOPs. He had also declared the sale and purchase of plasma as haraam.
It may be recalled that in May this year, news of Mufti Naeem’s surfing in coronavirus went viral on social media, but his spokesperson denied it.
Jamia BinoriaMedia had said in a statement that Mufti Naeem had been shifted to hospital due to heart ailment but has now recovered and returned home.
Binoria University denied the baseless rumors circulating on social media.
Expressing grief over the demise of Mufti Naeem, Sindh Governor Imran Ismail said that he had spent his entire life in teaching Islam. Mufti Naeem made Banuria University a world-class institution.
Parliamentary Secretary for Religious Affairs Aftab Jahangir and JUI leader Allama Rashid Soomro, Aslam Ghauri expressed sorrow over the demise of Mufti Naeem.
