Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Ehsan Mani has said that he feels that it is not possible to hold the scheduled T20 World Cup in Australia this year.
Talking to media through video link, Ehsan Mani said, “We have had many meetings regarding T20 World Cup, and I feel that it is not possible to hold a mega event this year. The International Cricket Council (ICC) has scheduled the World Cup in 2021 and again in 2023, so we have a whole year in between the schedule, but I don’t see the T20 world cup this year in Australia
It is to be noted that due to the contagious epidemic of the Coronavirus, the scheduled T20 World Cup in Australia in October-November this year is in danger. However, the ICC has to make a final decision in this regard in July. Due to the rapidly improving Coronavirus situation in Australia, there is hope for the event to take place, but it is too early to say anything about it, and there is a strong possibility that it will be postponed due to the health of the players and fans.
