Major General Nigar Johar of the Pakistan Army has been promoted to the rank of Lieutenant General, after which she has become the first female Surgeon General of the Pakistan Army.
According to Pakistan Army Public Relations (ISPR), Major General Nigar Johar was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-General. Nigar Johar is the first female officer to be promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-General.
Lt. Gen. Nigar Johar has been posted as the first Surgeon General of the Pakistan Army. Lt. Gen. Nigar Johar is performing his duties at the Military Hospital Rawalpindi. Lt. Gen. Nigar Johar hails from Panj Pir, Swabi District.
It is also worth mentioning here that Nigar Johar belongs to the Army Medical Corps. She is the daughter of former ISI officer Colonel Qadir and niece of former ISI officer Major Muhammad Amir.
