Jamaat-e-Islami leader Mian Aslam has challenged the Rs 25 increase in the petrol price in the Islamabad High Court.
Jamaat-e-Islami leader Mian Aslam, through his lawyer Rao Abdul Rahim, filed a petition against the Rs 25 increase in petrol price in a single day.
In a petition filed in the Islamabad High Court on June 30, it was stated that the common people of the country were greatly affected during the Karuna epidemic. Despite falling international oil prices, Pakistan is not getting relief.
The petitioner further said that without the recommendation of OGRA, the government increased the price of petrol by Rs. 25. The government has imposed a lot of taxes on petroleum prices, which is a burden on the people. Request in the application
The government has been ordered to reduce the prices of petroleum products. Taxes imposed by the government should be declared illegal.
In the petition filed by Jamaat-e-Islami, the Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister, Secretary Finance, Secretary Petroleum, and OGRA have been made parties.
