The European Union Air Safety Agency has suspended PIA’s air operations permit for six months
The European Union’s Air Safety Agency has suspended PIA’s air operations permits for European countries for six months following allegations of fake PIA pilots’ licenses.
All PIA flights to Europe have been temporarily canceled due to the suspension of the permit. According to reports, PIA spokesman Abdullah Hafeez confirmed that PIA flights would not be allowed to land in Europe for six months.
He said the suspension would take effect on July 1, 2020, at 12 midnight UTC time.
The spokesperson said that the passengers who have a PIA booking would have the option to forward the booking or get a refund if they wish.
He said that PIA was in constant touch with the European Aviation Safety Agency and was taking steps to address their concerns.
