The three coalition parties did not attend the PM’s dinner

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan’s conciliatory process to allay the concerns and grievances of the coalition parties have suffered a setback, with three coalition parties didn’t attend a dinner hosted by the Prime Minister.

According to details, a dinner has been arranged for the allies today to accompany Prime Minister Imran Khan’s allies, to meet their demands and to allay grievances.

The Prime Minister’s reconciliation mission has suffered a major setback as three coalition parties have refused to attend the dinner.

Members of PML-Q, BNP, and Jamhoori Watan Party have apologized for not attending the dinner while Sheikh Rashid will not be able to attend the dinner for rest.

PTI, MQM, and BAP members will attend the dinner. Contacts are being maintained with the coalition parties of the government, and a delegation of Balochistan Awami Party will meet the Prime Minister at 6 o’clock.

According to sources, Federal Minister Zubaida Jalal, Mir Khalid Magsi, and Sardar Israr Tareen will attend the meeting in which budget approval and Balochistan issues will be discussed.

Balochistan Awami Party will also attend the dinner of the Prime Minister while the MQM delegation is also scheduled to meet Prime Minister Imran Khan today.

The MQM delegation will also include Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Aminul Haq, Osama Qadri, Iqbal Muhammad Ali, and Kishore Zahra. The MQM delegation will demand a development budget from the federation.

Attempts are being made to persuade PML-Q to attend the dinner. In this regard, Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser called on Federal Minister Tariq Bashir Cheema and invited him to attend the dinner. However, the PML-Q is adamant about its decision not to attend the dinner.
